Hey there guys and gals its Maso (the triffle hunter) here just hoping that someone may be able to shed some light on the topic of appropriate broad head selection for both smaller (fox, cats, etc) and larger game (goats, fallow, etc) at the moment a use carbon Vapor 3000s with 4” flights and I shoot 55 pound of pure hell lol  Grin

I currently use Hunter outback broad heads and find there very close with the consistency of there weight and have proved they can achieve the desired affect on the smaller game and tune up as good as a field point, but I'm yet to see what will happen if i punch one into anything a little bigger then a fox or a cat. ( gotta get the time lol:)

As mentioned any feed back on quality heads will be appreciated….

Cheers MASO

Outback Shikaries as 2 blades.
Big enough to take down large game, but still accurate enough to use on small game.

Blackstump Broadheads along with Zwickey's and Tusker Broadheads for me!.

Also have heard a lot of good news of late about Varmint Busters or VB's for short, but yet to try them myself.

everyone has their own personal choice of broadhead. You'll never get the exact answer you want but you will only get the pro's and con's the different broadheads people use.

Find out what the best ones are and try them out untill you find what you like best out of your bow.

A lot of people shoot a lot of game with the outbacks.
They should work fine for most any game in Australia.
Just be sure they are tuned to your bow , razor sharp and you use proper shot placment...

I have grown up with the belief that 3 blade broadheads are to be used on soft boned animals eg;fox deer goats ect you need as much cutting area as possible the more haemorrage and internal bleeding the faster a fast amimal will drop. When hunting hard boned amimals eg;pigs buff camels donkeys 2 blade are the way to go,nothing brakes ribs like ribtek, outback, blackstumps mind you I hit a boar last year at 1 meter head on with a outback boardhead the arrow went in about 4 inchers into his top sholder and stoped he was not happy,he will live to fight another day.not the boardheads fault just bad shot placement,I've that on video once I sort out the up loading I'll try and down load some footage.cheers stu

My choices are Outback Supremes and Shikari's....Blackstumps and Tuskers.
I use a few 3 blade Muzzy's..
I dont like Ribteks...
And I only use Howies Varmint Busters..VB's on rabbits..
I personaly find 2" Blazers or Vane Tec V Max 2" pro hunters set at helical best for 2 blade flight...hope this helps Wink

I have been playing around with a lot of different broadheads over the last 12 months (expandables/3 bladers and different styles of 2 bladers) and have found tuskers and blackstumps the most dependable and best value for money.
I personally prefer 5 inch vanes with a good helical when using fixed blade broadheads.
